Duygun Göktürk is Assistant Professor at the Department of Educational Sciences, METU, Ankara. She got her BA in Science Education from Boğaziçi University, Istanbul, and her MS in Adult Education from the same university. Duygun Göktürk completed her PhD in Educational Leadership and Cultural Foundations of Education at Purdue University, Indiana, USA. Her main research areas are sociology of education (social stratification; race, ethnicity, class and gender issues), sociology of higher education, educational administration, qualitative research methods, and ethnography. She has published articles and chapters in the British Journal of Sociology of Education, Higher Education Policy, Mülkiye Dergisi, Routledge International Handbook Series, and Palgrave Macmillan’s Postcolonial Studies in Education Book Series.
