Bio
Ayse Secil TEKİN-AKBULUT was born in Marmaris/Turkey in 1978. She graduated from Gazi University, Department of Fashion Industry and Fashion Arts in 2001. She completed her MA thesis at Anadolu University in 2007 through studying costume design processes in performing arts. In 2007, she received “The Best Costume Design Award” during 32nd İsmet Küntay Theater Awards. She worked as a visiting scholar at Old Dominion University (USA) in 2011. She has designed several costumes for theatrical companies and orchestras, and contributed to national and international artistic and scientific events. She completed the Proficiency in Art program at the Department of Interior Design at Anadolu University in 2022 through her thesis on original value creation. She worked an academician at the Department of Textile and Fashion Design at Anadolu University Faculty of Architecture and Design between 2001-2018. She has been with the Department of Textile and Fashion at Eskisehir Technical University since May 2018.
