Manuscript Submission Guide
Before you start the online submission process, please read the Author Guidelines document, and ensure that you have the following items available:

Manuscript Submission Checklist
As authors, it is required that you perform a final check of your submission to ensure it adheres to the guidelines set in place. Non-compliant submissions may result in delays in the review process. We kindly request your attention to this matter to ensure a smooth and efficient review process.
● The manuscript has never been published before and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere (alternatively, an explanation has been provided in a comment sent to the Editor).
● The manuscript is in Microsoft Word, RTF, or OpenOffice format.
● URLs are provided for cited sources whenever available.
● The manuscript is submitted with 1.5 line spacing. The font size for the body of the text is 12 pt. Italics are used instead of underscores (except for URLs). All images, figures, and tables are placed in the text at their appropriate points, not at the end.
● The manuscript complies with the formatting and bibliographic requirements indicated in the Author Guidelines.
● The author(s) uploaded the manuscript and Copyright Agreement Forms.
● All references mentioned in the Reference List are cited in the text, and vice versa.

Title Page
● The manuscript's category
● The manuscript's title in both Turkish and English
● All authors' names and affiliations (institution, faculty/department, city, country), e-mail addresses
● Corresponding author's e-mail address, full postal address, telephone, and fax number
● ORCIDs of all authors. This number can be obtained free of charge from http://www.orcid.org

Main Manuscript Document
● The manuscript's title in English (Turkish manuscripts should have a title in Turkish)
● Abstracts (150-200 words) in English (Turkish manuscripts should have an abstract in Turkish)
● Keywords: The text should include a minimum of three and a maximum of five keywords in English (abstracts in Turkish should have Turkish keywords)
● Extended summary (800-1000 words) in English (only for Turkish articles)
● Main article sections
● Acknowledgement (if exists)
● References
● All tables, illustrations (figures) (including title, description, footnotes)

Manuscript Submission
Please note the following instructions for submitting your manuscript:
● The corresponding authors must submit the manuscript from their own account. Other authors or individuals who are not listed as authors should not use their accounts for submission. All communication regarding the manuscript will be sent to the corresponding author's email via the DergiPark system.
● To access the DergiPark manuscript submission system, you need a User ID and password. If you do not have one, please follow the instructions to create an account on the journal's DergiPark manuscript submission site.
● If you forget your password or are unsure whether you already have an account, click the "Reset Password" link and enter your email address. The system will send you the necessary information by email.
● If you encounter any issues with your account, please do not create a new one. Instead, contact the Turkish Journal of Diaspora Studies Office via info@tjds.org.tr.
● After logging in, click the "Submit Article" button at the top of the page. You will be taken to the Manuscript Information section, where you will need to follow five steps to complete your submission.
● You can stop the submission process at any time, and all information you have entered the system will be saved. You can continue your semi-completed submission by viewing it in the "Unsubmitted and Manuscript in Draft" section.
● When uploading the Main Document, ensure that it does not contain any information that identifies the author. For double-blind review purposes, the Main Document should not include the Title Page, author's name, or any other information that could identify the author. The Additional File for Review should also not contain any identifying information.

The Following Files Must Be Submitted Separately:
● Copyright Notice Text
● Permissions obtained for previously published material (if used in the current article)
● Title Page
● Full text of the manuscript
● Manuscript title in English (Turkish manuscripts should have a title in Turkish)
● Abstracts (150-200 words) in English (Turkish manuscripts should have an abstract in Turkish)
● Keywords: Minimum three, maximum five keywords in English (abstracts in Turkish should have Turkish keywords)
● Extended summary (750-1000 words) in English (only for Turkish articles)
● Main article sections
● Acknowledgements (if any)
● References
Finally, once you have completed the submission process, click the "Submit" button. When the submission is complete, a verification screen will appear with your Manuscript ID, and you will receive a notification by email.
