Author Guidelines

Cukurova University Journal of Faculty of Theology Author Guidelines
1. The studies submitted to the journal should include the name and surname of the author(s), academic title, institution, contact, ORCID, and e-mail under the title.
2. The spelling guide of the Turkish Language Association and the principles determined by our journal are valid for the writing of the texts.
3. Microsoft Office Word should be used for the writing of the texts, and they should be sent as docx or doc extensions in A4 size to the Dergipark link address of our journal.
4. The studies submitted to the journal should not exceed 9000 words or 25 pages in the format of the journal with all the annexes (pictures, figures, maps, bibliography etc.).
5. Page margins should be 2.5 cm from the right, left, top, and bottom.
6. The title of the article should be centered, and written in “Bookman Old Style” font with 10 pt.
7. The body text of the article should be written in “Bookman Old Style” font with 10 pt., and justified with 1.5 line spacing. Articles written in Arabic should be written in “Traditional Naskh” font with 10 pt., and justified with 1.5 line spacing.
8. The paragraph spacing in the article should be 6 pt., and the first line indents of the paragraph should be 1 cm.
9. The text in the footnote should be written in “Bookman Old Style” font with 8 pt., and justified with 1 line spacing.
10. Quotations longer than five lines should be different from the main text, 1 cm from the left and right edges of the page, in block, and italic. If the quotation is exactly the same, it should be given in quotation marks and the reference should be indicated at the end / footnote.
11. In the submitted articles, one of the APA and Chicago styles may be used in their current formats, optionally. Details of preferred styles can be found at https://www.apastyle.org/ for APA and https://www.chicagomanualofstyle.org/ for Chicago.
12. Tables and figures in the text should be given as standard according to APA and Chicago styles’ current format, whichever are preferred.
13. The text in the table should be written in “Bookman Old Style” font with 10 pt., 1 line spacing. It should not extend beyond the writing area and the page margins should not be violated.
14. The articles may use the main, intermediate and sub titles deemed appropriate to ensure a regular transfer of information, and titles can be numbered if necessary.
15. The order of the sections in the article content should be as follows.
I. Article title
II. Abstract
III. Keywords
IV. Body text
V. References
VI. Abstract
VII. Keywords
16. Page number should not be added to the article text.
17. In the text of the article should not be used abbreviations such as ibid, idem.
18. The abstract should be at least 350 words and on the first page. It should be written in “Bookman Old Style” font, italic, 9 pt., 1 line spacing, justified.
19. At least three and up to five keywords should be added below the summary text to ensure the availability and follow-up of the article in the databases, and the selected keywords should be consistent with and inclusive the article content.
20. References should be given after 2 line spacing from the last paragraph of the article, and should be written in 10 pt., 1.5 line spacing.
21. When writing references, the first line for each reference must be unindented and the following lines should be indented 1 cm from the left.
22. If more than one works of an author are included in the references, the name of the author should be rewritten for each work.
23. The title of the abstract should be written in 10 pt., centered, and with 1 line spacing.
24. The abstract text should be at least 350 words with its english title and come after the page containing the references. It should be written in italic, 9 pt., justified and with 1 line spacing.
25. At least three and up to five keywords should be added below the summary text to ensure the availability and follow-up of the article in the databases, and the selected keywords should be consistent with and inclusive the article content.
