ARTICLE EVALUATION PROCESS

Asian Studies International Journal of Social Sciences is an international peer-reviewed journal. Articles that have not been published before or are not yet under evaluation in another journal and are approved by each author are accepted for evaluation. Submitted articles are evaluated by the Editor, Editorial Board or Editorial Board in terms of originality, methodology, importance of the subject covered and compatibility with the scope of the Journal. Articles submitted for publication are ensured to be evaluated fairly by double-blind referees. The purpose of the peer review process is to ensure the publication of qualified and original scientific studies. All articles sent for publication to the Asian Studies International Journal of Social Sciences go through the article evaluation process stated below:

Preliminary Assessment(Preliminary Evaluation)

All studies submitted to the journal are subjected to a preliminary evaluation by the Editor or Editorial Board in terms of scientific content, publication principles, journal scope and format, similarity rate as a result of plagiarism scanning, copyright and ethical declaration notification. If the article does not meet the necessary conditions, it may be rejected or some changes may be requested before proceeding to the referee evaluation phase.

Arbitrator Policy(Referee Policy)

The International Journal of Asian Studies in Social Sciences uses a double-blind system in which the names of referees and authors are kept confidential at every stage of the process. The names of the referees are provided in the publication phase in the relevant section of each issue.

Referee Review (Evaluation)

Manuscripts that pass the preliminary evaluation stage are sent to two referees by the Editor. Referees are selected from the referee pool, taking into account their areas of expertise. The number of referees may be increased when necessary by the editors or the Editorial Board. Referees review the articles sent to them; They are evaluated in terms of originality, contribution to the field, statement of the problem and examination of the relevant literature from a critical perspective, method, presentation of the findings, discussion of the results in relation to the relevant literature and suggestions. Referees have the authority to either approve or decline the paper, or to request that the authors make revisions to both the structure and content. If one of the referee reports is positive and the other is negative, the article is sent to a third referee. Therefore, in accordance with the referees' opinions, the decision is made to either publish the article as is, reject it completely, or accept it after making certain corrections. Authors are allotted a period of 1 month to finalise the amendments outlined in the evaluation report dispatched by the referee. Failure to make revisions within this timeframe may result in the rejection of the work.

Final Review (Evaluation)

The Editor conducts the ultimate assessment of works that have received positive judgements from referees and have reached the publication stage. Articles that have undergone final proofreading, correction, and approval by the Editor as being suitable for publication are arranged in the sequence of publication and published alongside the layout works.
Authors who submit articles to the International Journal of Social Sciences of Asian Studies are deemed to have accepted these referee evaluation conditions and process of the Journal.
