Education:
- In 2001, I graduated from the Faculty of Education in Maribor, majoring in primary education
- I obtained the title of Doctor of Science in 2016 at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Education, in the field gifted students’ education, entitled Education of gifted students from the modern didactic theories point of view.

Work experience:
- I am habilitated as an assistant professor in the field of Social Sciences and Human Resources 
- From 1 August 2022, I am the manager of the international project called Designing for Enhanced Competence through Active Participation in Higher Education (DECAP-HE), funded by Norway Grants, where with partners (Educational Institute of Slovenia, Student Organization of Slovenia, Industry and commerce chamber of Slovenia, Kristiania University College, Norway) we develop new methods and approaches in the field of higher education didactics, while simultaneously including the fields of sociology, anthropology, pedagogy, humanities and other social sciences. The project refers to the field of active learning, design thinking, global competences and active citizenship for the 21st century.
- Since 2023 I am the head of Center for pedagogical and didactic development and support for teachers (CPDR) at Alma Mater Europaea – ECM.
- From 2019-2022 I was working on the project Holistic educational process and strengthening of mental health (L5-1844), which was financed by the Public Research Agency (ARRS) and the International Institute for Psychotherapy and Applied Psychology in cooperation with Alma Mater Europaea – ECM, which refers to the interdisciplinary fields of pedagogy, didactics, psychology, anthropology, humanities.
- In 2007, at the Faculty of Education of the University of Maribor, I was elected to the title of expert associate for the subject area of mathematics didactics at the primary level of education, and in 2010 to the title of expert associate for the subject area of special didactics - subfield of mathematics. From 2006 to 2010, at the Faculty of Pedagogy, Maribor, at the Department of Primary Education and at the Department of Preschool Education, I conducted seminars and laboratory exercises in subjects related to the field of habilitation.
- From 2001 to 2021, I taught in the elementary level at the primary school Cerkvenjak - Vitomarci.
- Obtained the title of councillor from 2015, which is the highest title in elementary school
- I am the author and co-author of several original scientific articles in the field of didactics, pedagogy, gifted children education and interdisciplinary social sciences and humanities.
