Das Internet, wie wir es heute kennen, gab es vor 20 Jahren noch nicht. Um eine gewünschte Interaktion herstellen zu können, war man auf die Print-Medien angewiesen. So hatten feministische Autorinnen wenig oder sogar gar keinen Einfluss auf die Übersetzungen ihrer Werke und konnten sich nicht darüber äußern. Daraus ergibt sich die Frage, wie sich die feministische Haltung oder Ansicht einer feministischen Autorin in den Zieltexten widergespiegelt hat? Welche Rolle übernimmt die Übersetzung bei einer solchen Interaktion?
Ausgehend von diesen Fragen wird in dieser Arbeit wird die Relevanz der Übersetzung bei einer globalen Bewegung am Beispiel des islamischen Feminismus thematisiert, indem die Werke und deren Übersetzungen von zwei feministischen Autorinnen untersucht werden. Anhand der Ergebnisse wird festgestellt, welche Rolle die Übersetzung bei der Verbreitung einer globalen Bewegung, wie der Feminismus, in Zeiten vor dem Internet gespielt hat.

The internet as we know it today did not exist 20 years ago. In order to be able to create a desired interaction, one had to rely on the print media. For example, feminist authors had little or no influence on the translations of their works and could not comment on them. This raises the question of how the feminist attitude or view of a feminist author was reflected in the target texts? What role does translation play in such an interaction? Based on these questions, this work addresses the relevance of translation in a global movement using the example of Islamic feminism by examining the works and their translations by two feminist authors. The results will determine the role that translation played in the spread of a global movement like feminism in pre-internet times.
