Abstract

Giriş-Amaç: COVID-19 salgını tüm dünyayı etkisi altına alarak günlük yaşamda değişikliklere sebep olmuştur. Değişiklikler fiziksel ve psikolojik sorunları beraberinde getirmiştir. Yaşanan kısıtlamalarla birlikte eğitim ve rehabilitasyon süreçlerindeki aksamaların işitme kayıplı çocuğa sahip ebeveynler için stres unsuru oluşturduğu düşünülmektedir. Bu çalışmada COVID-19’da farklı illerdeki işitme kayıplı çocuk annelerinin algılanan stres düzeyinin belirlenmesi ve stres düzeylerinin bazı değişkenlere göre farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığının değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır.
Gereç-Yöntem: Çalışmaya 6-14 yaş aralığında işitme kayıplı çocuğu olan, 9 farklı ilden 63 anne katılmıştır. Araştırmada; araştırmacılar tarafından oluşturulan anne ve çocuk için sosyodemografik bilgi formu ve Algılanan Stres Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler SPSS 21.0 programı aracılığıyla p<0.05 anlamlılık düzeyine göre istatistiksel olarak incelenmiştir.
Bulgular: Çalışmaya katılan annelerin yaş ortalaması 35.95±6.35 yıl olarak belirlendi. Annelerin algılanan stres düzeylerinin ortalama puanı 27.20 olarak belirlendi. Pandemi sürecinde annelerin stres düzeyleri ile çocukların işitme kaybı derecesi arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunamadı (p=0.449). Pandemi sürecinde bireylerin yaşadığı şehirlerin büyüklükleri ile annelerin algılanan stres düzeyleri arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunamadı (p=0.062.) Araştırmaya katılan annelerin stres düzeyi ile eşlerinin çalışma durumu arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulundu (p=0.013).
Tartışma/Sonuç: Bu çalışmada, COVID-19 pandemi döneminde farklı illerdeki işitme kayıplı çocuk sahibi annelerin algılanan stres düzeyinin orta düzeyde olduğu belirlenmiştir. Stres düzeyini etkileyen en önemli unsur eşlerin çalışma durumudur. Farklı illerde yaşayan annelerin stres düzeylerinin şehirlerin büyüklüklerinden etkilenmediği ortaya konmuştur. .Annelerin algılanan stres düzeyi ile birçok faktörün ilişkisinin incelenmesi sorunları tespit etmek için fayda sağlamıştır.
