Abstract

Tire State hospital is HIMSS (Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society) level 7 hospital since 2016. Digital measures and rules in many clinical and non-clinical areas, and financial, temporal and efficiency-enhancing practices are structured within the HIS (Hospital Information Management Systems). The aim of this study is to decrease the mortality rates due to infection in intensive care units. In the study, to determine the causes of 21-bed adult intensive care mortality, the diseases causing intensive care mortality in the Hospital statistics unit were retrospectively screened. In the evaluation, 2017 was scanned and the most causes of death were investigated. In line with the data obtained from the hospital statistics unit, it was determined that the causes of intensive care mortality were infectious diseasesAs a result of this analysis, preventive actions are planned to reduce intensive care mortality. In the decision supports created for this purpose, physician and nurse warnings and some international scales SIRS (Systemic Inflammatory Response Syndrome) braden scales for nursing care were used. Compared to 2017 data with intensive care infection preventive electronic actions and 2018 data, it was possible to decrease 22.21% of the disease rates, which is the cause of infectious mortality, from 49.07% in total. The awareness of nurses and physicians was provided by using all the procedures in the electronic environment, early warning systems and KKDS (Clinical Decision Support Systems) and rule engines, and early diagnosis and treatment opportunities were provided.
