Yükseköğretimde Akademik Kendileşme (Academic Inbreeding) ve Kurumsal Habitusun İnşası Üzerine Bir Tartışma

Abstract

Bu makale, akademik kendileşme (academic inbreeding) yapıları ve uygulamaların
kurumsal habitusu oluşturma ve yükseköğretim kurumlarında kurumsal mikro yapı ve
uygulama biçimlerini şekillendirmedeki rolüne dair bir tartışma içermektedir. Makale
akademik kendileşmenin, yükseköğretim kurumları bünyesindeki kurumsal işleyiş ve
yaşam alanları ile bağlantısının belirlenmesi ve kurumsal habitusun kurucu unsuru olma
noktasındaki örgütlenme pratiklerinin incelemesini içermektedir. Literatür incelemesi
bölümü öncelikle akademik kendileşme pratiklerinin yükseköğretim kurumlarındaki
genel bir çerçevesini işlevsel ve kurum kültürünün oluşumu bağlamında çizmektedir.
Literatürün ikinci bölümü ise biyoloji ve felsefe gibi farklı disiplin alanları ile ilişkilenerek,
akademik kendileşmenin popülasyon üzerindeki etkilerini sorgulamaya ve genişletmeye
çalışmaktadır. Bu kapsamda, akademik kendileşme sisteminin tartışmalı noktaları ve
işlevsellik söylemleri mevcut literatürün yardımı ile belirginleşmektedir. Bu literatür aynı
zamanda akademik kendileşmenin karmaşık, iç içe geçmiş işlevsellik rolleri ve kurumsal
yaşamı tanzim eden formlarının dikkatle incelenmesine dair de bilgiler sunmaktadır.
Makalenin ikinci bölümü, kurumsal habitus kavramı çerçevesinde, akademik
kendileşmenin kuruma ait birimler içindeki etkilerini ortaya koymayı ve akademik
kendileşmenin kurumsal habitusun ve pratiklerinin üretimindeki kurumsal pozisyonu
tartışmaya açmaktadır- örneğin uyumluluk çerçevesinde kurumsal ilişkiler, grup kimliği
oluşumu ve pratikleri, kurumsal sadakat ve duygular, bilimsel üretkenlik söylemleri, örtük
(içe dönük)araştırma sahaları ve kurumsal eğilimleri bu bağlamda değerlendirebiliriz.
Son bölümde ise, akademik kendileşmeye dair temel söylemler, tartışmalar ve
yükseköğretim kurumlarındaki işlevselliğinin genel bir çerçevesi özetlenecektir. Bu
kaynaklar ve tartışmalar akademik kendileşme mekanizmasının kurum bünyesinde
farklılaşan işlevlerini ve ilişkiselliklerinin çerçevesini çizmektedir.
