Abstract

Kişilerin tarihi yapı ve alanların korunması konusunda bilinç sahibi olmaları için, çocukluk dönemlerinden itibaren bu konuda farkındalıklarının oluşturulması ve geliştirilmesi gerekmektedir. Bu çerçevede, Türkiye’de kültür varlıkları ile ilişkili konular ilköğretim müfredatında yer almaktadır. Sosyal Bilgiler dersi de geçmiş ile günümüz arasında medeniyet hazinesini gençlere ileten bir köprü görevi görmektedir. Sosyal Bilgiler dersi özellikle Kültürel Miras öğrenme alanı ile kültür ve kültürel miras alanına vurgu yapmakta, kültürel öğelerden hareketle kültürel bilinç yaratma hedefini ön plana çıkarmaktadır. Bu doğrultuda araştırmada ilköğretim 4. sınıf öğrencilerinin Sosyal Bilgiler dersi kapsamında kültürel miras kavramına ilişkin algılarını tespit etmek amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın amacı kapsamında yöntem göstergebilimsel analiz olarak tasarlanmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2018-2019 eğitim öğretim yılında İstanbul ili Gaziosmanpaşa ilçesinde bulunan bir devlet okulunda eğitim görmekte olan 4. sınıf öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin belirlenmesinde tipik durum örneklemesi kullanılmıştır. Öğrencilerin kültürel mirasa ilişkin algılarını öğrenmek için resim çizmeleri istenmiş daha sonra öğrencilerle resimleri hakkında neler tasvir ettiklerini anlatmaları için görüşme yapılmıştır. Öğrencilerin çizimleri göstergebilim analiz tekniklerinden C. S. Peirce’in çözümleme modeli ile analiz edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak öğrencilerin kültürel miras algılarının genellikle müze, ev halısı, tablo gibi maddi (somut) kültürel miras öğeleri şeklinde oluştuğu, bunun yanı sıra bayram, düğün, gelenek gibi manevi (soyut) kültürel miras öğeleri ile ilgili algılarının da mevcut olduğu görülmektedir.
