Abstract
Nowadays the use of QR codes in educational settings has been started to increase. This study aims to give theoretical information
how to use QR codes in teaching Turkish as a foreign language in the scope of the literature review. Firstly, QR codes are
introduced. Secondly, basic characteristics of QR codes are discussed. Then, how to generate and decode the QR code is described
step by step. The names of the QR code applications that can be used are given as examples in this section. Then, the use of QR
codes in education is mentioned. Finally, how to using QR codes in teaching Turkish as a foreign language can be described. It is
seen that there are many ways to use QR codes in teaching Turkish as a foreign language. In other words, many situations that
might come to mind are enriched by using QR codes. The Turkish language courses enriched with the QR codes which offer
mobile learning experiences may be interesting in terms of students. As a result, the use of QR codes is one of the applications
that can be suggested in teaching Turkish as a foreign language.

Abstract
Günümüzde eğitim-öğretim ortamlarımda karekodların kullanımı artmaya başlamıştır. Bu çalışma, literatür taraması
çerçevesinde yabancı dil olarak Türkçe öğretiminde karekodların nasıl kullanılabileceği hakkında kuramsal bilgi vermeyi
amaçlamaktadır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda ilk olarak karekodlar tanıtılmıştır. İkinci olarak karekodların temel özellikleri ele
alınmıştır. Ardından karekodların nasıl oluşturulacağı ve çözümleneceği aşamalı olarak tarif edilmiştir. Bu bölümde,
kullanılabilecek karekod uygulamalarının isimlerine de örnek olarak yer verilmiştir. Sonrasında karekodların eğitimde
kullanımına değinilmiştir. Son olarak karekodların yabancı dil olarak Türkçe öğretiminde nasıl kullanılabileceği tarif edilmiştir.
Yabancı dil olarak Türkçe öğretiminde karekodları kullanmanın pek çok yolunun bulunduğu görülmektedir. Öğretmenler
karekodlar ile desteklenmiş dersler yürütebilir, etkinlikler hazırlayabilir, bir anlamda akla gelebilecek pek çok durumu
karekodlar ile zenginleştirebilirler. Öğrenciler açısından ise çoğunlukla mobil öğrenme deneyimi sunan karekodlar ile
zenginleştirilmiş Türkçe dersleri ilgi çekici olabilir. Sonuç olarak karekod kullanımı, yabancı dil olarak Türkçe öğretiminde
önerilebilecek uygulamalardan biri olarak ön plana çıkmaktadır.
