Abstract

Hayatın her alanındaki geleneksel tarzlardaki
değişimin bir sonucu olarak, coğrafya birçok başka
bilim dalıyla işbirliği içinde çalışmayı gerektiren bir
sosyal bilim dalı olmuştur. Kadın nüfusla ilgili sorunlar
da, yirminci yüzyılın ikinci yarısından itibaren bu bilim
alanının inceleme konuları arasına girmiştir. Bu konu
ile bağlantılı olarak kadınların sosyal konumları, yaşam
koşulları, özgürlük savaşımları ve kendi yaşamlarını
yönlendirme çabaları coğrafya biliminin ilgi alanları
arasındadır. Bunlar arasında, göçün bir alt dalı olarak
kadın göçü de coğrafya çalışmalarında giderek artan
bir şekilde üzerinde durulan bir inceleme konusu
olmaktadır. Bunda kadın coğrafyacıların sayısındaki
artışın önemli bir rolü olmuştur. Sonuç olarak, kadın
coğrafyası ve kadın göçü gibi kavramlar, zaman içinde
coğrafya çalışmalarında özgün bir yer edinmişlerdir.
Bu çalışma, kadın coğrafyası, kadın göçü ve bu göçün
ortaya çıkardığı sorunlar üzerine kuruludur.
