Abstract
Fotoğraf sanatının tarihi, yalnızca bir icat olarak fotoğrafın duyurulmasıyla ilgili değil, aynı zamanda imgenin ve görüntünün kökeniyle de ilgilidir. Bu sebeple gerek fotoğraf tarihi gerek fotoğraf kuramı, yalnızca fotoğrafın tekniğini bilfiil gerçekleştirenlerce değil, aynı zamanda imgenin ve görüntünün varlığına ve ifadesine dair düşünce üretenler tarafından da ele alınmaktadır. Nitekim hem fotoğraf tarihi hem de fotoğraf kuramı üzerine çalışmalar yapan Walter Benjamin, Charles Baudlaire, Roland Barthes, Siegfried Kracauer, Susan Sontag vb. felsefecilere, edebiyatçılara ve sosyologlara rastlanmaktadır. Anılan isimlere, 21. yüzyılda imgenin ve dolayısıyla da görüntünün varlığını, felsefi ve sosyolojik bağlamda incelemiş olan Jean Baudrillard da eklenebilir, çünkü Baudrillard, üç dilli “Photographies 1985-1998” isimli kitabında, hem bir fotoğrafçı kimliğiyle 1985-1998 yılları arasında çektiği fotoğraflarını yayımlamış hem de bir düşünür olarak fotoğraf üzerine düşüncelerinden bahsetmiştir. Bu bakımdan, 19. yüzyılda fotoğraf üzerine düşüncelerini kitaplaştıran ve aynı zamanda bir fotoğrafçı da olan Peter Henry Emerson’a benzemektedir. Bu çalışmada, özellikle simülasyon kuramıyla sinemayı konu edinenlerin dikkatini çeken Jean Baudrillard’ın, fotoğraf sanatına dair düşünceleri ön plana çıkarılmış ve böylelikle Türkiye’deki fotoğrafçıların, alternatif kuramsal bağlamlar elde etmeleri amaçlanmıştır. Baudrillard’ın söz konusu kitabındaki düşünceleri, nitel araştırma yöntemi olarak fenomenolojik yaklaşım bağlamında fotoğraf tarihinden seçilmiş amaca yönelik örneklem üzerinden ele alınmıştır. Seçilen fotoğraflara dair edinilen görsel tecrübe, Baudrillard’ın düşünceleriyle ilişkilendirilmiştir. Sonuç olarak, 21. yüzyılda bir özne olarak fotoğrafçının rolünün ve etkisinin geçmişe kıyasla azaldığı düşüncesine ulaşılmıştır.

Abstract
The history of the art of photography is not only about the announcement of photography as an invention, but also about the origin of the image and the vision. For this reason, both the history of photography and the theory of photography are discussed not only by those who realize the technique of photography, but also by those who think about the existence and expression of the image and vision. As a matter of fact, there are philosophers, literary artists and sociologists, such as Walter Benjamin, Charles Baudlaire, Roland Barthes, Siegfried Kracauer, Susan Sontag, who work on both the history of photography and the theory of photography. Jean Baudrillard, who has examined the existence of the image, and therefore the image, in the philosophical and sociological context in the 21. century, can be added to the names mentioned, this is because Baudrillard, in his trilingual book “Photographies 1985-1998”, both published the photographs he took between 1985-1998 as a photographer and expressed his ideas on photography as a thinker. In this respect, he reminds us of Peter Henry Emerson, who wrote a book about his ideas on photography in the 19. century and was also a photographer. In this study; The lesser-known thoughts of Jean Baudrillard, a philosopher who attracts the attention of those who focus on cinema with his simulation theory, about the art of photography are highlighted and thus, it is aimed for photographers in Turkey to obtain alternative theoretical contexts. Baudrillard’s thoughts in his book are discussed through a purposeful sample selected from the history of photography, in the context of the phenomenological approach as a qualitative research method. The visual experience obtained from the selected photographs is explained with Baudrillard’s thoughts. As a result, it has been reached that the role and influence of the photographer as a subject has decreased in the 21. century compared to the past.
