Abstract
Urinary system
obstruction is one of the risk factors that can play role in the etiology of urinary tract
infections, hypertension and acute or chronic renal failure which can cause serious
morbidity and mortality rates. Renal insufficiency is an important public
health problem in the world and in our country. Renal atrophy which is a result
of urolithiasis related urinary obstruction that can play a role in the
etiology of renal insufficiency is discussed in this case-report. By this case,
we wanted to draw attention to the importance of early diagnosis and treatment
in primary care.

Üriner
sistem obstrüksiyonu; ciddi boyutta morbidite ve mortalite oranlarına sebep
olabilen üriner sistem enfeksiyonu, hipertansiyon ve akut ya da kronik böbrek
yetersizliği etyolojisinde rol oynayabilecek risk faktörlerinden biridir.
Böbrek yetersizlikleri ise dünyada ve ülkemizde önemli bir halk sağlığı
sorunudur. Böbrek yetersizlikleri etyolojisinde rol oynayabilen ürolitiazis
ilişkili üriner obstrüksiyon sonucunda gelişen renal atrofi olgumuzla birinci
basamakta erken tanı ve tedavinin önemine dikkat çekmek istedik.
