Abstract

The purpose of this study was to adapt the Creativity Fostering Teacher Behavior Index to Turkish Language. CFTIndex is consisted of a total of 45 behaviors within nine subscales and five behaviors for each subscale. During the adaptation process, language equivalence coefficient was calculated (r=.93) and confirmatory factor analysis was run with the data of 192 participant teachers. All finding showed that Turkish version of the index has satisfying coherence with the structure of the original index. Cronbach’s Alpha reliability coefficient of the index was found a quite high .95. Depending on all findings, it is possible to assert that Turkish version of the original index is a linguistically and structurally equivalent, valid and reliable index
