Infertility is an important problem for individuals of reproductive age. In the developing world, people who experience stress in business life with unfavorable living conditions have adopted unhealthy eating habits. These habits have invited obesity, one of the biggest problems of our time. The literature indicates that obesity is associated with vitamin D deficiency. It is known that nutritional disorders and vitamin D deficiency in the reproductive age of obese women and men negatively affect reproductive health and may cause infertility. Although there are undeniable improvements in infertility treatment, it is necessary to mention other factors that affect infertility treatment. For example, information is increasing on the development of healthy lifestyle behaviors and that the negative impact of these factors on fertility can be reduced. In this respect, care and counseling to infertile patients in the nurse's role and responsibilities it is of great importance. This review was written to address the relationship between obesity and vitamin D deficiency with infertility and to emphasize the importance of nursing care.
İnfertilite üreme çağındaki bireyler için önemli bir sorundur. Gelişen dünyada olumsuz yaşam koşulları ile iş hayatında stres yaşayan kişiler sağlıklı olmayan beslenme alışkanlıkları edinmişlerdir. Bu alışkanlıklar çağımızın en büyük problemlerinden biri olan obeziteye davetiye çıkarmıştır. Literatüre göre obezitenin D vitamini eksikliğiyle ilişkili olduğu belirtilmektedir. Obez kadınların ve erkeklerin üreme çağındaki beslenme bozukluklarının ve D vitamini yetersizliğinin üreme sağlığını olumsuz olarak etkilediği ve infertiliteye sebep olabileceği bilinmektedir. Her ne kadar infertilite tedavisinde yadsınamayacak düzeyde gelişmeler olsa da infertilite tedavisini etkileyen diğer faktörlerden bahsetmek gereklidir. Örneğin sağlıklı yaşam biçimi davranışlarının geliştirilmesi ile bu faktörlerin fertilite üzerine olan olumsuz etkisinin azaltılabileceği konusunda bilgi giderek artmaktadır. Bu bağlamda hemşirenin infertil hastalara bakım ve danışmanlıktaki rol ve sorumlulukları büyük önem teşkil etmektedir. Bu derleme, obezite ve D vitamini eksikliğinin infertilite ile ilişkisini ele almak ve hemşirelik bakımının önemini vurgulamak amacıyla yazılmıştır.
