In our study aiming to
analyze the impact of human capital and macro and technological variables on international
competitiveness based on high technology product export, a total of 14 members
of the G20 countries including Turkey, have been examined over the period of
1992-2014, with panel data analysis methods (panel unit root and panel
cointegration). The findings of the study showed that human capital
variables such as human development index and life expectancy at birth affects
international competitiveness based on high technology product exports
positively. This result once again demonstrates that countries which seek to
gain competitive power in high-technology product exports should give
importance to human capital investments.
Human Capital International Competitiveness Panel Data Analysis
