The Expectations of the Preschool Teacher Candidates From The Child Literature Lesson (Adıyaman Case)
Abstract
The aim of this research is to determine the preschool teachers’ expectations about the child literature lesson. In this study it was carried out an interview with 22 preschool teacher candidates who haven’t taken any child literature lesson yet. There were some questions asked to those in the interview process. As a result totaly 17 themes were to be found meaningful. Some of the findings belong to these themes are as follows: “It should be ensured that rather than the academic staff without expected field competence the academic staff that has required field competence to be encouraged while operating the lessons.” “Preschool students should be made to read the literature such as stories, fairy tales and poems in the lessons.” At the and of the study some suggestions based on the results were given.
Abstract
Adıyaman Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesinde öğrenim gören okul öncesi öğretmen adaylarının katılımıyla gerçekleşen bu araştırmada öğretmen adaylarının çocuk edebiyatı dersinden beklentilerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden görüşme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini 2010- 2011 eğitim öğretim yılı güz döneminde Adıyaman Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesinde öğrenim gören, henüz çocuk edebiyatı dersi almamış yirmi iki okul öncesi öğretmen adayı oluşturmuştur. Görüşmeyi gerçekleştirmek için öğretmen adaylarına “Çocuk edebiyatı dersinin verimli bir şekilde işlenmesi ve amaçlarına ulaşılması için beklentileriniz nelerdir?” sorusu yöneltilmiştir.. Araştırmadan elde edilen veriler betimsel analiz yöntemi ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmanın sonucunda on yedi tema ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu temalardan dikkat çekici olanlarına ait bazı bulgular şöyledir: “Alan bilgisi olan öğretim elemanlarının dersi yürütmesi konusunda hassas davranılmalıdır”, “derste okul öncesi dönem çocuklarına yönelik hikaye, masal, şiir vb. edebi kitaplara yer verilmelidir.” Araştırmadan elde edilen sonuçlara bağlı olarak bazı önerilerde bulunulmuştur.
