Covid-19 Küresel Salgınında İş Performansı İçin Aranan Kaynak Olarak İşin Anlamı: Doktorlar Üzerine Bir Araştırma

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, işin anlamının iş performansı üzerinde bir etkisinin olup olmadığını belirlemek ve İşin Anlamı Ölçeği’nin Türkçe geçerlemesini gerçekleştirmek amaçlanmaktadır. İşin anlamının, özellikle kriz dönemlerinde daha önemli roller üstlendiği düşünülmektedir. Bu nedenle COVID-19 pandemisine denk gelen dönemde gerçekleştirilen çalışmanın verileri Tokat’ta kamu sektöründe çalışan tıp doktorlarından (pilot uygulama için N=70, asıl araştırma için N= 282) toplanmıştır. Araştırma örnekleminin hem araştırma sonuçlarını hem de ölçek geçerleme çalışmasını daha değerli kıldığı düşünülmektedir. Bu kapsamda, ilk olarak Steger ve arkadaşları (2012) tarafından geliştirilen İşin Anlamı Ölçeği’nin (WAMI) Türkçeye geçerlemesi gerçekleştirilmiştir. LISREL programında gerçekleştirilen doğrulayıcı faktör analizinden (DFA) elde edilen uyum iyiliği değerleri, modelin kabul edilebilir uyum düzeyine sahip olduğu göstermektedir. 10 ifade ve 3 boyuttan oluşan orijinal şekliyle Türkçeye geçerlenen ölçeğin iç tutarlık katsayısı ,90’dır. Araştırmada daha sonra işin anlamının görev performansı ve bağlamsal performans üzerindeki etkisi incelenmiştir. Yapılan regresyon analizi sonuçları işin anlamı ve tüm alt boyutlarının iki performans türünü de pozitif şekilde etkilediğini göstermektedir. Ulaşılan sonuçların, işin anlamının belki de iş hayatlarının en sıkıntılı dönemlerini yaşayan doktorlar açısından önemini ortaya koymaktadır. Bu sonuçtan hareketle, anlamlı işin örgütler açısından son derece önemli bir kaynak olduğu ve bu önemin kriz dönemlerinde kendini koruyarak daha da değerli hale geldiği söylenebilir.
