PSİKOLOJİK DANIŞMAN ADAYLARININ MESLEĞE İLİŞKİN KİŞİSEL EĞİLİMLERİ

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı lisans düzeyindeki
psikolojik danışman adaylarının cinsiyetlerine, sınıflarına, psikolojik danışma
eğitimini seçme nedenlerine ve alanının neden önemli olduğuna yönelik
görüşlerine göre mesleğe ilişkin kişisel eğilimlerinin değişip değişmediğini
ortaya koymaktır. Çalışmanın katılımcıları İç Anadolu Bölgesi’ndeki büyük bir
şehirde bulunan iki devlet üniversitesindeki toplam 431 Psikolojik Danışma ve
Rehberlik programı öğrencisidir. Veriler Mesleğe İlişkin Kişisel Eğilimleri
Değerlendirme Ölçeği ve Kişisel Bilgi Formu ile toplanmıştır. Elde edilen
bulgulara göre, kadın psikolojik danışman adaylarının ölçeğin  toplam ve tüm altı alt boyutlardan elde
ettikleri puanların erkek psikolojik danışman adaylarına göre daha yüksek
olduğu görülmektedir. Sınıf düzeyi psikolojik danışman adaylarının kişilerarası
ilişkilere özen ve kendinin farkında olma alt boyutlarından elde ettikleri
puanların arttığı saptanmıştır. Psikolojik danışma alanını planlayarak
seçenlerin mesleğe ilişkin kişisel eğilimlerinin diğer nedenlerle seçenlere
göre daha yüksek olduğu elde edilen bulgulardandır. Benzer biçimde psikolojik
danışma alanını başkalarına yardımcı olduğu için önemli bulanların mesleğe
ilişkin kişisel eğilimleri de diğer görüşlerde olan gruplara göre daha yüksek
bulunmuştur. Bulgular alanyazın ışığında tartışılmış ve gelecek araştırmalar ve
uygulamalar için öneriler sunulmuştur.
