Abstract
In nursing profession, the greatest contribution is made by nursing theories and models in presenting and developing basic knowledge to be put into practice. Fact that nursing practices are based on nursing theories and models systematizes nursing care and increases the quality of care. One of the most commonly used models in nursing, Roy’s Adaptation Model focuses on an individual’s adaptation to the changing environment. In Roy’s Adaptation Model, nursing interventions aim to help the individual display adaptable behaviors by controlling the stimulus or increasing the individual’s adaptation to the stimulus. The present paper examined Behçet’s Disease, which may affect multiple systems in the body all at once and progresses with attacks, and its care according to Roy’s Adaptation Model and presented a nursing care plan example by using the NANDA-I (North American Nursing Diagnosis Association) nursing diagnoses.

Abstract
Hemşirelik mesleğinde, uygulamaya aktarılacak temel bilginin ortaya konulması ve geliştirilmesinde en büyük katkıyı hemşirelik kuram ve modelleri sağlamaktadır. Hemşirelik uygulamalarının hemşirelik kuram ve modellerine dayalı olması hemşirelik bakımını sistematize etmekte ve bakımın kalitesini de artırmaktadır. Roy Adaptasyon Modeli, hemşirelikte en çok kullanılan modellerden biridir ve bireyin değişen çevreye uyumu üzerine odaklanmaktadır. Roy Adaptasyon Modeli’nde hemşirelik girişimlerinin amacı, uyaranı kontrol ederek ya da bireyin uyarana uyumunu artırarak bireyin uyumlu davranış gösterebilmesine yardımcı olmaktır. Bu makalede, bedende birçok sistemi aynı anda tutabilen ve ataklarla seyreden Behçet Hastalığı ve bakımı, Roy Adaptasyon Modeline göre incelenmiş ve NANDA-I (North American Nursing Diagnosis Association) hemşirelik tanıları kullanılarak bir hemşirelik bakım planı örneği sunulmuştur.
