Mikrobiyotanın Kadın ve Çocuk Sağlığına Etkisi

Abstract

İnsan vücudunda virüs, bakteri ve mantar gibi mikrobiyal türlerden oluşan tüm mikroorganizmalar mikrobiyota olarak adlandırılır. İnsan mikrobiyomu sağlığın korunmasında rol oynar, fakat aynı zamanda mikrobiyal türlerdeki belirli değişimlerin anne-çocuk sağlığını olumsuz etkilediği düşünülmektedir. Mikrobiyota gelişimi uterin ortamda başlar ancak doğum şekli, vajinal ortam, gebelikte antibiyotik ve probiyotik kullanımı, yaşam tarzı gibi faktörlerin yeni doğan mikrobiyomunun ilk kolonizasyon sürecini etkilediği gösterilmiştir. Son yapılan çalışmalarla birlikte yaşamın ilk yıllarından itibaren oluşan mikrobiyal kolonizasyonun, kadın hayatının tüm dönemlerinde hastalık/ sağlık durumunu etkilediği düşünülmektedir. Bu derlemenin amacı mikrobiyotanın kadın ve çocuk sağlığı üzerine etkisini değerlendirmektir.
