ÖN ISITMA İŞLEMİNİN SÜT DİŞİ KÖK KANAL PATININ AKIŞKANLIĞI ÜZERİNE ETKİSİ

Abstract

Amaç: Süt dişlerinin morfolojik farklılıklarından ötürü kök kanal tedavisinde kullanılan kanal patının akıcılığı büyük önem arz etmektedir. Sıcaklık, materyallerin akıcılığını etkileyen faktörlerden birisidir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, 4 farklı sıcaklık değerine sahip (4ºC, 23ºC, 39ºC ve 55ºC) iyodoformlu kalsiyum hidroksit patının akıcılık özelliklerinin karşılaştırılmalı olarak değerlendirilmesidir.
Gereç ve Yöntem: Bu çalışmada iyodoformlu kalsiyum hidroksit patının farklı sıcaklıklardaki akışkanlık özelliklerinin değerlendirilmesi için pat, dört farklı sıcaklığa (4ºC, 23ºC, 39ºC ve 55ºC) getirildi. Buzdolabında bekletme, oda ısısında bekletme ve 39ºC ve 55ºC sıcaklığa getirmek için ise kompozit ısıtma cihazı kullanıldı. Kanal patları 0,25 gr olacak şekilde cam tabakanın üzerine konuldu. Ardından bu cam tabaka üzerine ikinci bir cam tabaka ve 500 gram ağırlık yerleştirildi. 300 saniye bekledikten sonra iki cam arasında yayılan kanal patı dijital kumpas yardımıyla üç farklı noktadan ölçüldü ve bu üç değerin ortalaması hesaplanarak kaydedildi. Veriler One Way ANOVA ve t testi ile analiz edilerek istatistiksel olarak değerlendirildi.
Bulgular: 4 ºC’de kök kanal patının akışkanlık değeri en düşük değer olarak bulundu. Sıcaklıklar arası karşılaştırmaya bakıldığında 23 ºC, 39 ºC ve 55 ºC de kök kanal patlarının akışkanlık değerleri arasında anlamlı fark bulunamadı.
Sonuç: Kök kanal patlarına uygulanan sıcaklık sonucu materyalin akıcılığında değişiklik gözlenebilmektedir. Oda sıcaklığı ve ısıtılan diğer derecelerde akıcılığın değişmediği ancak buzdolabında bekletildiğinde akıcılığın azaldığı görülmektedir.

THE EFFECT OF PREHEATING ON THE FLUIDITY OF PRIMARY TEETH ROOT CANAL SEALER

Abstract

Aim: Due to the morphological differences of primary teeth, the fluidity of the canal sealer used in root canal treatment is of great importance. The aim of this study is to compare the flow properties of iodoform calcium hydroxide sealer with four different temperature values (4ºC, 23ºC, 39ºC and 55ºC).
Materials and Methods: In this study, the paste was brought to four different temperatures (4ºC, 23ºC, 39ºC and 55ºC) to evaluate the fluidity properties of iodoform calcium hydroxide sealer at different temperatures. Afterward, canal sealers were placed on the glass layer at 0.25 gr. A second glass layer and 500 grams of weight were then placed on this glass layer. After waiting for 300 seconds, the sealant spread between the two glasses was measured from three different points. The data were analyzed statistically with One Way ANOVA and t test.
Results: The fluidity value of root canal sealer was found to be the lowest at 4 ºC. When comparing the temperatures, no significant difference was found between the fluidity values of root canal sealers at 23 ºC, 39 ºC and 55 ºC.
Conclusion: As a result of the temperature applied to the root canal sealer, a change in the fluidity of the material can be observed. It is seen that the fluidity does not change at room temperature and other heated degrees, but the fluidity decreases when kept in the refrigerator.
