The aim of this study is to reveal the relationship between the states of
the companies in real sector and stock exchange. For this purpose, the
relationship between the industrial production index and stock exchange index
in the OECD countries for the January 2000 and February 2016 period was
researched with CCE, a recent panel data analysis method, considering cross
section dependency among the countries and heterogeneity of them. Consequently,
it was determined that real sector had a positive effect on stock exchange in
14 countries and negative effect in 8 countries. The results of 9 countries
were not found out meaningfully. Obtaining different results from each country
also caused the panel result to be meaningless.
